Description
Wooden grid for the convector pit consisting of 3 parts Birch plywood 27 mm. The plastic bushings of the old convector pit grille were partly broken and the gaps between the slats were just large enough for your chair legs to collapse. To solve both problems, new grilles have been made from plywood.
Work description: how did you realize your project
Order panels in the right size and make a milling jig at home.
Ensured that the number, width and position of the slots are the same. This way you get a symmetrical result.
Slots are first milled out shallowly with a router and then a hole is drilled in each slot. The rest was cut out with a jigsaw.
The inside of the slots and the outer edges were sanded, then coated with 3 layers of PU lacquer.
