Ronald himself made a conversion for his mantelpiece in this project. He has made the cove around his stove functional. With various sockets and charging points. This homemade conversion for his fireplace ensures that it fits in with his living room again.
Description by Ronald
I made a conversion around the mantelpiece and a conversion around the underfloor heating distributor in combination with the wardrobe. I used leftovers to furnish the stair cupboard.
How I made this project
To make the chimney of the previous gas stove stand out a little better in the living room, I used MDF on both sides a "cove" made. I fitted the cove with wall sockets on the inside so that I can hide TV cables out of sight. I also mounted a wall socket on the right side so that there is room to charge an iPad, for example. I had the remains cut to size so that I could build a conversion over the underfloor heating distributor and make the wardrobe above it.
