Very easy

The furniture from Ikea is very good and functional. But sometimes you just want a different look and feel. In this project, Nils shows how he pimped his Ikea Kallax cabinets with custom sawn beech carpentry panels ordered online.

Description by Nils

Simple low cabinet that serves as a sofa, finished with a beech wood plank for embellishment. The beech wood suddenly makes the simple piece of furniture look a lot more chic.

How I made this project

The sofa consists of 2 individual low cabinets from Ikea (Kallax) that are placed in a corner have been drawn up. I then simply measured the exact dimensions and entered them via the website for the wooden plank of my choice, being beech wood. The delivery was on time and the wood was carefully packed. The planks were beautiful in appearance and of the advertised quality. Then I just had to put the planks on the sofa to make my simple piece of furniture a lot more cozy.

Dimensions of my DIY project
