How to build your own HiFi 2-way speakers

The design and construction

The HiFi 2-way speakers are designed and carefully constructed. The base for these speakers is 22 mm thick MDF Blank, which was previously cut to size by TOSIZE.at. Wim made cutouts in the panels for both the woofer and the tweeter, important components for creating a balanced sound reproduction. The construction photos show how the MDF gradually transitions into a beautiful housing, secured with clamps to ensure a solid construction.

The finishing in detail

Attention to the smallest details makes all the difference in this project. After gluing and assembling, the surface of the speakers is painted in a deep black finish, which gives a modern look that fits into any contemporary interior. The rounded shapes of the speaker elements contrast beautifully with the straight lines of the housing.
