Biem made a robust attic cabinet from Finnish spruce, with custom-cut panel material from TOSIZE.at. He also attached black hinges to give the attic cabinet a rugged look. Read here about Biem's approach!
Work Description: How did you realize your project?
Angled casing and knee wall made of Underlayment Finnish spruce with black handle hinges and black handles. Mostly measured and ordered in advance. Only a few parts still need refining as the bottom is not entirely smooth. As a final touch, I installed magnetic closures behind the doors to keep them shut. I chose Underlayment Finnish spruce because it makes a difference in finishing and has a nice color that looks rugged and cool. It is also easy to work with. In the end, I chose a matching floor. For the black screws, I used cross-head quick-build screws. I haven’t installed any lock bolts yet; I’m still unsure about that.
