In this DIY project, Rene shows how he made beautiful window sills himself. For this he ordered oak carpentry panel A/B in 19mm to size. Read more about his approach and experience below.
Description of Rene
Had an unfinished dormer window installed last year. In this project I used custom oak to create the windowsill.
How I made this project
As described, we had the dormer window delivered as a shell. We wanted sockets under the windowsill and switches for the spotlights in the dormer window, so we decided to finish the dormer window ourselves, and in this case also the windowsill. Entire attic insulated, installed electricity, attached vertical furniture panels (windowsill support point) and finally finished with 2 beautiful oak planks as windowsill. The wood was delivered exactly according to specification and is pleasant to work with. The end result of the windowsill is impressive, the whole thing gives a nice warm and high-quality appearance.
