Description by Pieter
I made a counter top from black moisture-resistant MDF! The material is moisture-resistant and therefore ideal as a temporary countertop.
How I made this project
For a temporary countertop, I had black MDF V313 (moisture-resistant) cut to size. A practical solution that allowed me to focus on the renovation myself. Using a bucket as a temporary sink was a great solution, without adding a lot of costs to this renovation! I finished the top with linseed oil.
Dimensions of my DIY project
You were a godsend at the time, lots of eaters just before Christmas, and no counter top. Three rectangular tops that together formed a U, smeared with linseed oil, the deep black of the MDF stood out beautifully, and with moisture in the kitchen it was still perfectly functional.
