Description

I have made a shelter next to my house to store my garden tools. It consists of a steel profile on which 28 mm oak planks are made on the outside. A tiled roof has been made on top of the steel profile. In the house there are storage shelves made of concrete plywood panels that I ordered from opmaatzagen.nl. I had these made exactly to size and fit exactly into the existing profile. I finished the sawn edges with boat varnish so that they can withstand the weather for a little longer.

DIY storage shed for the garden

Profile made of steel in which the oak is made on the outside could be used and the concrete plywood on the inside as a storage shelf. The steel is lacquered with hammerite and the oak planks are placed in boiled linseed oil. I secured the concrete plywood plates with screws and for the time being I finished the edges of the plates with boat varnish so that they can withstand damp weather conditions. I only made the wood in the house after I placed the profile on straps outside. The roof was only then added.
