Description

My homemade cargo bike had to have a nice box. Strong 9.0 mm plywood with waterproof vandal-proof layer, i.e. concrete plywood! And the bottom plate is also non-slip, which makes it safe.

DIY: creating a box for a cargo bike

The bottom plate was the basis, a few corners were still cut out until it lays nicely. Then mount the backrest at an angle of 10 degrees. The same way I made the front panel on the front beam of the bicycle frame.
Then the sides, the only thing I really had to do myself was saw off the sloping edge at the front. It showed up nicely after test installation.
Then drill a lot of holes and install them with seat corners and m6 carriage bolts and adjusting bolts.
The open edges of the must be finished. I used rambo armor paint, 3 layers, colorless.
